What Are PRF INjections?
What is PRF for hair loss and facial rejuvenation?
Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) is a Hair restoration (PRF Hair Restoration) is backed by years of research to improve your hair density and jumpstart dormant hair follicles back into the growth stage. These treatments increase blood supply to the hair follicle, increase hair thickness, and length, and decrease hair loss. PRF can also be injected into several areas of your face to help with dark circles, tear troughs and deep folds, volume loss, wrinkles, and fine lines.
What is the difference between PRP and PRF?
With PRF, your blood is spun at a low centrifugation and there is no added anticoagulation like there is with PRP. This allows a fibrin matrix to form. The fibrin matrix will help to keep cells more active, allowing for a longer and slower release of growth factors. The rich concentration of cells in PRF will release growth factors over a longer period of time, contributing to an even better rejuvenation process.
What happens during the treatment?
PRF for hair loss is a 3-step treatment that begins by drawing blood from the patient. The sample is then placed in a machine called a centrifuge, which spins the blood to separate the blood cells from all the other nutrient-rich cells that we want. Finally, PRF is placed in a syringe and injected into areas of the face for natural rejuvenation or in the scalp for hair loss.
How long until I see results?
You may see some improvement after your first and second treatment, however, most patients see optimal results after three to four sessions. Treatments are spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
